If you have had a caesarean birth and you are considering how you would like to give birth the next time, this is a class for you! This online class is open to all folks, whether you are receiving care from a midwife, a family doctor or an obstetrician. The class is taught by Clare Hacksel, who has lots of experience in supporting labouring clients who have chosen to have a TOLAC.
This class can be taken at anytime either before conception or during your pregnancy.
By joining us, you will have a better understanding of the following:
What does the terminology mean: VBAC vs TOLAC?
Things to consider when choosing your place of birth after birthing by caesarean.
The research on the risks and benefits of TOLAC vs. choosing to have a repeat caesarean.
What is the chance of having a successful TOLAC?
Is getting an epidural a good idea?
What happens if I go past my due date and I'm still not in labour?
How to navigate my emotions about my previous birth and how I can make a choice that is best for me this time.
How to plan for a skin to skin caesarean birth.
How is the recovery after having a VBAC, a TOLAC that resulted in caesarean birth, vs. a planned repeat caesarean birth.
